**Business Support Officer (Inside IR35)**

**Contract Term: 6 Months**

**Contracting Authority: Cabinet Office**

**Location: Hybrid - 2 days on site in Birmingham**

Active SC Clearance is desirable but will accept BPSS

**As a Business Support Officer, your main responsibilities would be**:

- Supporting recruitment, continuous business improvement, governance and assurance.
- Providing guidance and governance procedures, advising the correct processes to use as a team.
- Assist other PSOs in the reporting risks and issues related to delivery.
- Supporting development of communication materials and presenting/briefing as required.
- Storing key team information in a clear, organised and accessible manner.
- Providing ad-hoc administrative support to the North team.
- Managing documentation, correspondence and project-level data in shared folders.
- Management of the Deputy Director’s diary and daily commitments, prioritising meeting schedule and managing conflicting demands.
- Coordination of internal and external meetings and associated administration.
- Handling requests for information and data including the preparation of written responses to routine enquiries.
- Taking notes at team meetings, including their organisation.

**You’ll have relevant experience in**:
Essential:

- Supporting multi-discipline teams working in complex environments
- Experience in building successful relationships and team working
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deliver at pace, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines (both internal and external)
- Ability to communicate progress and flag risk/issues
- Ability to effectively work autonomously and as part of a mult-idisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Conversant with IT systems and the ability to analyse Management Information to inform decision-making.

Desirable:

- Track record of maintaining continuous learning through CPD
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional service delivery in a similar working environment
- Hold, or working towards one of the following qualifications/memberships: ICE, RTPI, RICS, APM, Finance etc (other relevant bodies, professions maybe considered)
- Qualified Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner and/or PRINCE2 Practitioner
- Business Administration qualification
- APM Practitioner qualification
