As part of this we're looking for a new Internal Communications Business Partner to create an inspiring employee experience for our colleagues.

Reporting into the Senior Internal Communications Manager, Technical Services you will business partner one of our major strategic accounts; designing and delivering an exceptional communications and engagement plan.

This will include; developing multi-channel capabilities and implementing an employee listening strategy across the business, developing tools and events to engage and inspire leaders to help their people thrive at Mitie, creating content (articles, blogs, podcasts, videos) to publish within and outside of the contract, to inspire Mitie's frontline colleagues - ultimately driving employee engagement.

In this role, you will work closely with the external communications and public affairs team to ensure joined up messaging and that every opportunity is maximised. The key to success will be to ensure that the Mitie employee value proposition is told through outstanding storytelling across a range of channels (digital, ambient, in person events) so that our colleagues, especially our frontline heroes, are celebrated and listened to.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the day-to-day management, utilisation, and development of our range of internal communications channels, including online, social and print as well as our network of Line Managers and communicators.
- Continually look for opportunities to improve consistency, accessibility and reach of our content - particularly to front-line colleagues
- Proactively engage with the activities of the organisation to promote best practice and highlight achievements through excellent clear and consistent communications, which help to embed the culture of Mitie.
- Work closely with the Account Senior Leadership Team as their key communications lead, acting as an expert advisor on internal communications activities, particularly around change, transformation, business strategy, employee engagement and leadership communications
- Work closely with key stakeholders within the account and with the Senior Internal Communications Manager to clearly define the narrative and compelling key messages
- Effectively plan, create, deliver, and measure activities as part of our broader internal communications and engagement agenda which is aligned to the wider Technical Services and Internal Communication's strategies
- Manage Colleague Engagement - coordinating a regular cadence of communications including bi-weekly meetings, All Hands Call and Townhalls, Drop In Surgeries, Breakfast Meetings, Leaders Conference and SLT Conference as required.
- Maintain key contract data to enable meaningful and targeted messaging
- Develop bespoke communications for clients, including design and coordination of client reporting
- Source case studies and good new stories and communicating them through internal and client facing channels.
- Managing submissions for external and industry awards

**Essential skills**
- Requires knowledge of employee engagement, communications and how internal communications aligns with external communications (media relations, investor relations, marketing, and public affairs).
- Knowledge of customer facing communications
- Relevant experience of internal and external communications, working in a large, complex business is essential, as well as a track record of writing and advising on communications at Managing Director and Director level.
- Excellent digital skills
- Knowledge of using SharePoint and WordPress intranet systems, Microsoft Teams, Powerpoint
- ability to use graphic design tools such as Canva and some experience of filming and editing and photography.
- Event experience
- Track record of communicating with hard-to-reach colleagues
- High standard of written and spoken English with proven copy writing experience
- Exceptional time management, planning and organisational skills
- Proven track record of working directly with senior stakeholders, providing advice and counsel, particularly on change activity
- Proven ability to understand complex communication issues and recognise business wide implications.
- Creative thinking and innovative in approach to communication
