**Motor Claims Handler - Leeds (Hybrid Working - up to £26k**

SearchDATA is currently looking for a Motor Claims Handler to join a growing Claims company in Leeds. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding Motor Claims provider in the heart of Leeds city centre.

**Role/Responsibilities**
- Accurately capture first notifications of loss direct from the customer, broker or third parties ensuring all relevant information is obtained
- Correctly assess the indemnity and liability of the claims captured, providing clear information to the customer on the outcomes
- Screen all newly reported claims for any indicators or suspected fraud and refer to the Fraud SME outlining recommendations for consideration
- Identify and utilise suppliers from the panel to support successful claims outcome for the customer damage fault claims
- Identify 'Non-Fault' claims for allocation to the non-fault journey and where appropriate undertake the subrogated recovery of any losses incurred
- Utilise all available telematics data to support the claims process including tracking stolen vehicles
- Accurately create and review reserves in line with 'Reserving Philosophy'
- Undertake and be responsible / accountable for your own caseload of allocated customer damage claims, including working all customer tasks associated with the claim
- Proactively identify and obtain all key information required to progress the claim to conclusion
- Handle claims in the correct technical manner, in accordance with policy cover, legal liability, the department guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Settle allocated claims efficiently whilst demonstrating a dedication to controlling costs and leakage, within policy and personal limits and providing a high standard of customer service
- Ensure all records either manual or computer based are maintained accurately
- Complete outbound calls/contact to customers where a telematics crash alert has been generated to determine if they have been involved in an incident, capturing the FNOL as required
- Support the creation of a differentiated customer experience in Claims
- Support and make recommendations on claims processes, systems and suppliers that would lead to costs savings, improved efficiency, or improved customer experience

**Experience Required**
- Previous experience of capturing motor insurance FNOLs
- PC Literate and proficient in using a Claims Management System
- Seek and encourage the development of new ideas to drive continuous improvement into the business
- Effectively contributing to and driving the overall business culture and approach, sharing knowledge and encouraging the contribution and being supportive of others
