Following the appointment of a new senior leadership team in Finance we are expanding and adapting to create a supportive team that anticipates and collaboratively solves problems, helping us deliver an ambitious programme that reaches across all areas oflocal authority operation and interest.

The Head of Finance (Meridian Water) reports to the Finance Director (Capital & Commercial) and is the finance lead supporting the creation of 10,000 homes and 6,000 jobs transforming an underutilised industrial area. The role leads a team providing experttechnical and strategic advice to support decision making. Key responsibility will include;
- Providing expert commercial and financial modelling support, including for strategy and commercial negotiations
- Leading on technical finance matters for the project, including providing expert advice on different delivery models, financing options and potential tax implications
- Understanding, reporting on and helping to manage financial risk relating to Meridian Water project
- Supporting the arranging of capital funding to fund the development of new homes

To be suitable for the role you need to a qualified accountant or part qualified and actively studying, with a significant understanding Housing Revenue Accounting & reporting, including developing and maintaining the business plan. Proven experience ofsupporting decision making with senior stakeholders is essential.
