Whereas this is not an HEE recognised training post, the development of this post is supported by the Head of School and senior faculty of the Severn school of anaesthesia and ICM and they will be available in an advisory capacity.
Daytime duties consist of supervised theatre lists, anaesthetic clinics, acute pain work, persistent pain clinics and intervention lists and critical care duties. This will be a mixture of training lists and clinics and service provision. The successful applicant will be part of the on-call rota with a maximum frequency of 1:8. Depending on experience and the successful applicant’s requirements, this on call could be in Emergency Theatre, Obstetric Anaesthesia or Intensive Care and will involve supervising less experienced colleagues. Full consultant on call support is provided for both Anaesthesia and ICU with on-site consultant support evenings and weekend daytimes.
