We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatry Specialist Doctor to join our team in the Intensive Service. This is a 6 WTE post that requires a Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry with expertise in working with adults of working age.
About the TeamThe Intensive Service is a 24-hour service that provides access to mental health services for adults and functional older adults. The team works closely with the University of Bristol Medical School and offers opportunities for undergraduate teaching experience. We also attract psychiatric trainees within the Severn Deanery School of Psychiatry.

We provide services from a range of locations to approximately 1 million people. Our outstanding people promote mental health and wellbeing, and we are committed to a person-centred approach for those who use our services and for all employees.
Requirements- Basic Medical Qualification (MBBS or equivalent)
- Completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in Psychiatry or as a fixed term specialty trainee in Psychiatry
- Ability to appraise own performance
- Experience of carrying out an audit project
- Experience in involvement in a research project and publication
- Up to date knowledge of issues in Mental Health Service for this specialty
- Teaching of undergraduate students
- PGCME or equivalent/aspiration to attain a postgraduate teaching qualification
