This role reports to the Director of Cyber & IT Risk for British Airways and you will be accountable for embedding security by design into our varied and sizable delivery and product portfolio. Taking responsibility for communicating BA’s cyber requirements, shaping the cyber delivery assurance function, and working with diverse internal and external teams to deliver against our cyber strategy.

You will lead a team of nine Cyber Delivery Assurance Leads providing cyber requirements, oversight, cyber advice and guidance to the IAG and BA Tech Delivery teams for all BA delivery. You will provide assurance to the Director of Cyber & IT Risk that product delivery and maintenance meet’s BA’s risk appetite and that controls are operating effectively.

You will need to effectively communicate, reason and influence senior stakeholders across BA and IAG Tech to promote the understanding of cyber assurance and embed cyber security in design and delivery. You will determine BA’s cyber assurance strategy, identify relevant tools and methodologies to support agile delivery and “shift left”, enabling delivery teams to achieve BA’s tech goals securely.

You will lead cyber assurance reviews to promote consistency, quality, alignment to cyber strategy and learning, collaborating with IAG Cyber. You will be working at a broad range of seniority levels including C[1]level and will need experience leading a high performing team.
