We are pleased to present an exciting opportunity to join SHP as a Maintenance Contracts Officer. Working across almost all London Boroughs, we provide support and accommodation to some of London’s most vulnerable people, people who have experienced unimaginable experiences, leading them into a cycle of complex trauma and multiple disadvantage. We strive to provide clients with a warm, safe home, from which they can begin their recovery
- the role of the Maintenance Contracts Officer is key to making that happen.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for ensuring that contracted supplier provide high quality, reliable services our supported housing schemes, to ensure that clients have safe, good quality accommodation they can call home.
- Led on tender and procurement processes to secure contracts with suppliers that deliver reliable, cost-effective, high-quality service provision within our supported accommodation schemes, that meets the needs of those schemes.
- Ensure that all contracted suppliers hold relevant qualifications, health and safety an insurance requirement at the point of tender and throughout the contract period.
- Issue and oversee the Service Level Agreements with approved contracted suppliers, overseeing and monitoring service delivery.
- Support relationships between SHP and contracted suppliers, assisting with queries, and any incident or complaints that arise from SHP teams or clients, finance teams and suppliers.
- Ensure that there is a programme in place to meet compliance checks, that SHP are responsible for, such as gas safety, fire equipment servicing.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationship with internal and external stakeholders and internal partners at all levels within the organisation.
- **Essential skills**:

- Proven experience with procurement processes, including service specifications, assessing tender against these and completion of due diligence checks.
- Proven ability to develop excellent relationship internally and externally, ensuring any occurrences of under performance against agreed standards are addressed and rectified.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to understand customer needs, and ensure that procured service contracts deliver to meet actual need, with flexibility to agree new terms where service needs change.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Our attractive benefits package includes:

- A salary increase after successfully completing six month's probationary period
- A 37.5 hour working week including flexible working hours (core hours are 10am - 4pm) in non-accommodation services
- 25 days annual leave, increasing annually to the maximum 30 days (plus paid Bank Holidays),
