**Recovery Motivator** /
**Peer Mentor** at Change Grow Live, you'll be part of a fulfilling role where your personal journey can positively impact the lives of those dealing with substance misuse issues. You'll be the guiding hand, supporting our service users, aiding in their social reintegration and empowering them to lead meaningful, purposeful lives.

**Location**: Hull

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week
_(fixed-term contract until March 2025)._

**Salary**: £22,357.18 - £23,525.95 Pro Rata (CGL Scale 17 - 19) dependent on experience

**Join Our Inspiring Pilot Project: Bridging the Gap with Purpose**

We are thrilled to introduce an exciting pilot project aimed at breaking down barriers and forging vital connections between DWP Job Centres and Recovery Services.

**Your Role as a Recovery Motivator / Peer Mentor**:
Step into a role where your guidance can make a genuine impact. As a Peer Mentor, you will offer invaluable support to individuals facing challenges with substance misuse, guiding them towards the resources and assistance needed to secure and maintain employment. You will create safe spaces and provide one-to-one support, empowering and guiding people as they work towards their goals.

**Your Responsibilities Include**:
**Inspiration and Motivation**: Be the beacon of inspiration, motivation, and support for individuals as they manage their dependencies. Help them access essential support, which could include treatment, Universal Credit, and housing services.

**Personalised Support**: Forge deep connections through one-on-one sessions. Work closely with individuals to identify their aspirations and goals. Understand what truly matters to them and guide them towards their desired outcomes.

**Building Confidence**: Empower individuals to boost their self-confidence, enabling them to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Offer unwavering emotional support when they need it most, ensuring they stay on track.

**Planning and Evaluation**: Collaborate with each person to develop, review, and evaluate action plans. Keep a close eye on their progress and the impact of the support you provide. Adapt and refine care plans continuously to meet evolving needs.

**Teamwork**: Cultivate strong relationships with DWP work coaches and local substance misuse services. Ensure seamless coordination of support and resources to enhance the journey to recovery and employment.

**Meeting Facilitation**: Be the bridge that connects people to essential resources. Assist them in attending crucial meetings with DWP, Substance Misuse Services, and partner agencies.
