Location: Bourne, Lincolnshire

Contract Type: 12-15 month - FTC

Bakkavor Salads Bourne specialises in making prepared fruit, dressed salads, fresh noodles and prepacked stir fry. The business employs over 1,100 people and forms part of the Bakkavor Meals sector in the UK.

**The Role**

In this busy and exciting role, you will analyse, understand and support improvements to specific areas of the factory (notably stir fry and dressed salads).

You will be working closely with the operations managers, operational excellence manager and wider operations team to influence decision making and drive factory efficiencies.

**Accountabilities**
- Delivering regular and ad hoc reporting on under-performing products or processes
- Ensuring clarity of the expected / actual impact of any new operational initiatives, supporting the justification of investment where required (‘payback’ capital) and measuring returns post investment or post launch.
- Acting as the financial guardian for costings in your areas of responsibility - ensuring these reflect reality, outputs are clear / well-presented and that there are sufficient comparables on which to base approval
- Working with the operations team and senior finance business partner to calculate, justify and update standards on a regular basis to reflect expected performance most accurately
- Delivering robust short term and long term forecasts of factory efficiencies in the areas of responsibility based on clear assumptions, signed off by the operational team and with explanation for any changes in expected trends.
- Having an input to the development and delivery of functional objectives
- Stepping up to cover the senior finance business partner and supporting duties carried out by the analyst as required
- Becoming the finance champion for the site management control and reporting system (Redzone)

**About You**

Ideally you will have previous experience of a similar role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment and be a holder of a professional accountancy qualification.

Excellent communication, analytical, customer service and Excel skills will be key, as will the ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels of an organisation in a fast paced and demanding environment.
