**The Role & Responsibilities** As a Junior Sales Executive, you will be responsible for assisting the sales team with selling to firms primarily within the commodity sector.

You will be working closely with the Head of Sales focused on converting inbound leads and nurturing existing opportunities.

The role is "remote first" meaning you can work the full week remotely but you do have the option to work from co-working locations across the UK. Every Thursday, for those who want to meet up with colleagues there is a designated office that people workfrom. There will also be quarterly visits from the Head of Sales and bi-annual offsite meetings in London with the whole company.

You will be involved in the whole sales cycle including:

- Researching and contacting new prospects
- Responding to inbound leads and nurturing existing opportunities
- Arranging and managing initial sales meetings (virtual and in-person) where you will be assisted by the Head of Sales to pitch the solution
- Drafting proposals, closing sales, and assisting with contract negotiations (under the guidance of the Head of Sales)
- Documenting all client status activity via Sales Force

You will be given a sales target but the measure of success will also be determined by non-economic goals such as the number of meetings you arrange, leads you convert etc.

**Requirements**:

- There is no requirement to have previous software sales experience but client-facing experience and a drive to succeed within a sales role are key
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as organisational skills are a must
- Self-motivated and self-starting, a desire to learn and absorb knowledge from those around you
- Experience with commodity futures & options, exchanges/CCPs and clearing workflows
- Knowledge of market structure and why different participants use derivatives

Typical background
- You may have worked for a software vendor in a client service team or presales team.
- Alternatively, you may have worked in a client service or business development role for a CCP/exchange
