Cad Engineer

**JA1137 - CAD / Revit Engineer**
**Location - Mallusk/Newtownabbey BT36**

**Type - Permanent - Mon - Fri**Overview**:

- Follow instructions and diagrams to create or modify 2D and 3D drawings within AutoCAD & Revit
- Coordinating filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings
- Working under mínimal supervision
- Production of front-end system control map images
- Drawing Quantifying and Auto-Take-off’s.
- Reporting to CAD Manager
- Scanning and printing drawings via the plotter

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Production of 2D and 3D drawings (As-Installed, Line Schematics, Design, Information, Construction Drawings. Taking verbal direction and hand marked sketches, implementing into drawings for final work. Producing plans, elevations, technical details, andBuilding Layouts while meeting deadlines)
- Coordinating filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings (Following company guidelines in various servers and archive locations. Also, at times uploading to external sites used by clients following naming protocols and guidelines)
- Production of front-end system control map images. (Winmag, FireClass, Cortech) producing maps specifically sized to screens on site for modular PC based security management systems for Hazard detection)
- Drawing Quantifying and Auto-Takeoff’s. (Auto-Counts for Design, As-Installed, Final Accounts)
- Reporting to CAD Manager. (Drawing Issues, Queries and Problems)
- Assist CAD Manager with Quality Control. (Assist with drawing to panel download checks when completing As-Installed drawings)

**Skills & Experience**:
**Essential**
- Minimum of HNC AutoCAD qualification required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within AutoCAD
- Good basic knowledge of Revit
- Good understanding of Building Services M&E installations
- Understanding of CAD / Revit families and their incorporation

**Desirable**
- Fire and security and MEP industry experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages
- Quality experience working for a similar company or contracting organisation
- Familiar with COBie data production and extraction from Revit models
- Familiar with Navisworks and being able to navigate through models with the team
