**Join our Finance team as a Rents Officer**

Our Finance team play an important role in helping us to achieve our vision by supporting colleagues across the organisation to achieve the best value for money, pay for goods and services and understand complex financial information. Our finance specialists work across a number of teams including Corporate Finance, Financial Management and Procurement. **The role**
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of a Rents Officer at our office Atelier House in Camden. Your responsibilities will include:

- Maintain accuracy of the transaction data within the Housing Management system (Cx), through the
- processing of payments, adjustments and rent debit by the Finance Officers - Rents
- Taking preventative steps to minimise the number of items in rent suspense; maintaining breakdowns of
- transactions and taking action to ensure items are cleared on a weekly basis
- Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure that appropriate documentation to enable processing is
- received in an efficient and timely manner
- Respond promptly to escalated queries from internal and external parties.
- Reconciling the Sponsors Accounts
- HB Overpayments
- Compile reports for aspects of rent accounting, working with colleagues to develop accurate K.P.I. (Key
- Performance Indicators).
- Any other duties and adhoc requests as requested by the Rent Finance Manager, Senior Rents Officer or Head
- of Transactions

**What you will need to succeed**

**Salary**: £24,000 - £28,000
Location: Hybrid working role - Initially role will be predominantly office based at Atelier House, Camden. After training is complete, this will be a hybrid role.
- IT skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to interrogate, vLookup, Pivot, extract data and analyse/reconcile.
- Have an ability to deal with external auditors and staff at management level
- Needs to be very organised with the ability to plan & prioritise work against challenging period-end timetables
- and immovable deadlines of the finance department
- Ability to design cross checks to ensure data integrity
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial and statistical information
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to challenge and validate transactional detail
- Experience working within a finance/accounting/numeric background.
- Application of financial control to manage risk
