We are looking for a Head of Operations to join our team on a permanent, full time basis, working 36 hours per week.

As the Head of Operations, would you like to utilise your enthusiasm to lead Stonehenge to deliver exceptional visitor experiences and drive income, playing a vital part in English Heritage's story? If so, then this senior leadership role at Stonehenge could be the role for you. You will need experience of leading and managing a large and diverse team in the delivery of consistent standards of visitor experience and property management.

Stonehenge is one of the wonders of the world and the best known pre-historic monument in Europe, sitting in a beautiful and unique landscape it has inspired visitors for over five millennia. This role requires operational knowledge and sophisticated decision-making skills with the ability to react well to pressure and make effective operational decisions. By providing inspirational leadership to the Stonehenge Operation, Retail and Food & Beverage teams, you will achieve revenue targets and manage complex financial budgets to contribute to English Heritage's sustainable future, focusing on increasing the financial contribution generated through the property.

As a senior leader at this iconic World Heritage Site, you will also be responsible for leading a project team of internal and external stakeholders and overseeing the complex operational arrangements for the high-profile summer and winter solstices and all seasonal gatherings. You will have ultimate responsibility for meeting all compliance requirements and managing the safety of the site, visitors and staff.
