We are looking for an experienced full-time bookkeeper who is hardworking, reliable, and personable to join and lead our friendly team at Conatus Bookkeeping, based on Martlesham Heath.

**Key Duties**:

- Team leader for our bookkeepers
- Bookkeeping for a wide variety of clients both in office and on client premises
- Compiling, checking, and submitting Client Quarterly VAT Returns
- Assisting with pre-payments, accruals, and depreciations
- Payroll services
- Bank Reconciliations
- Credit Control
- Bank payments on behalf of clients, including payroll
- Preparation of quarterly and monthly management information
- Assist clients in resolve technical queries and handling of information
- Training clients and junior staff on Xero and QuickBooks software and supporting their development
- Administration duties as required
- Client Relationship Management
- Xero and QuickBooks experience, ideally experience of Sage 50
- Level 4 AAT qualified or equivalent experience or hold a suitable accountancy qualification
- The ability to check, complete and submit VAT Returns and run payrolls including pension related actions
- Strong IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Excel
- A commercial understanding of how a business operates
- The ability to work independently as well as rapidly becoming part of a team - within the practice but also within each client business. Strong interpersonal skills are key.
- Own transport to enable working at client’s premises
- Innovative ideas and the confidence to suggest them and assist in implementing them with clients.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
