Overview:
Harrow Council is looking for a Fire Risk Assessor to lead on Fire Risk Assessments of the Council’s housing stock (e. sheltered housing, general needs, etc.) and to take ownership for the life-cycle of FRAs including identifying and specifying remedial works and monitoring progression of works to ensure the works are carried out to a satisfactory standard, in good time and our tenants are not put at risk. The post holder will have expert technical knowledge relating to Fire Risk Management in social housing, working with and advising the relevant operational teams.

About you:

- Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management or a Diploma Fire Safety management.
- Relevant work experience in Fire Safety.
- Membership of Institution of Fire Engineers or IOSH or equivalent.
- Ability to use PC software Microsoft Office suite.
- Proven and substantial experience of advising on fire and safety issues in a medium or large organization.
- Experience of developing and implementing fire and safety systems.
- Experience undertaking fire risk assessment and auditing.
- Detailed knowledge of current and proposed fire, health and safety.
