**The Team**

The Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire Team is probably one of the most varied and exciting teams within Natural England. Sweeping down from the uplands of the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors and the South Pennines it encompasses the urban and industrial areas of South and West Yorkshire and the agricultural lowlands of the East Riding before reaching the beautiful Yorkshire Coast, the Humber Estuary (one of the busiest ports in the country) and the sea beyond.

The area incorporates 386 Sites of Special Scientific interest, two National Parks, four Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, twelve National Nature Reserves and we work with twenty-nine local planning authorities.

Our area teams lead our place-based delivery of our six programmes. The Area Teams have an ambitious plan to build a resilient natural environment and we want to create flourishing landscapes that are a source of pride, employment, access, and enjoyment. The habitats across the landscapes will provide benefits to biodiversity, water quality, flood management, climate change and the wider farmed environment.
