An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operational Support Administrator based in East Lancashire Sector. This is a substantive, full time - 37.50 hours, band 4 post.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a high quality, confidential, efficient and comprehensive administration service to the East Lancashire Paramedic Emergency Services Management Team. Duties will include the collation, compilation and production of statistical data and reports; provision of secretarial support to meetings; timely collation and completion of all electronic and paper-based information and returns including sickness, overtime, meal breaks, annual leave and the ordering and receipting of stock and non-stock items.

The post holder will be an effective communicator and possess excellent time management skills to manage and meet an ever-changing workload and deadlines whilst maintaining an effective and confidential administrative service at all times. You will be persuasive, influential, assertive and be able to work alone or as part of wider teams including healthcare and non-healthcare professionals, staff, management and secretariat teams across the local area.

You will be computer literate and have a broad knowledge of the Microsoft office suite. Two years’ experience in an administrative role is essential as is an NVQ3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
