**The Role**:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. The Health Care Support Worker will carry out duties involving direct patient care as delegated by the registered nurse. You will ensure a person centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective, to ensure and maintain quality strategy.

**What we'll need you to bring**:

- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
- Be prepared to be flexible in working hours
- Have enthusiasm to undertake on the job training and induction
- Undertake mandatory HCSW standards

**It would be great if you also have**:

- SVQ2 in health care or working towards this
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Training in physical health checks in areas such as blood pressure monitoring / venepuncture
- Experience of direct one to one care
- Experience working in health care role/setting
- Previous experience working with people in a community/acute hospital setting
- Wide range of caring experience
- Aware of current developments in community care
- Knowledge of approaches to risk management
- Knowledge and awareness of development in supports for older people
- Good time management skills

Permanent

37.5 hours

**Location and Working Pattern**:
This role will be based in the Phlebotomy Treatment Room, within Coatbridge Health Centre.

The working pattern for this role is Monday-Sunday working 5 days over 7, (8am-8pm).
