Oxford University Hospitals Theatres (NOC Theatres) are looking for enthusiastic and motivated ODPs and Adult Nurses to work in our busy Recovery and Overnight Recovery Unit.

Whether you are newly qualified or have experience from other areas, we have educational opportunities to support your development.

The Theatre Department at theNuffield Orthopaedic Centre has 8 theatres suites where routine and emergency surgery takes place. The unit provides highly specialised acute care for adult patients. Our surgical Orthopaedic specialities are:

- Hip and Knee
- Foot and Ankle
- Upper limb
- Sarcoma
- Limb reconstruction
- Spines
- Plastics

We can offer both full and part time posts which will include day and night shifts, a commitment to bank holiday and weekend working with participation in an on call rota.

We provide a supportive learning environment which includes preceptorship, supernumerary status while achieving competencies (with further support in the initial phase of working solo), an in-house perioperative course, assistance with revalidation, leadership and career development.

Further CPD is available including the PG Cert/Dip Advanced Perioperative Care. This course is accredited by the University of Northampton and delivered in the OUH. We have a dedicated Education team in place with a comprehensive education strategy to underpin the development of all grades of staff within theatres to facilitate career development and progression.

    Previous Critical Care or High Dependency knowledge and skill would be highly advantageous for this post holder. Flexible work is possible within Monday to Friday, the nature of the orthopaedic work is planned elective surgery during this time. Saturday working is possible as desired but not essential.
