To actively engage and participate in the delivery of safe and effective anaesthetic services in support of the orthopaedics, acute trauma, CEPOD, upper GI, regional anaesthesia, fragility fracture service and adult general anaesthetic workload at the University Hospital of North Midlands (Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital).

To provide, alongside the other Consultant TRA anaesthetists, leadership and strategic direction in the provision, development and assurance of safe and effective anaesthetic care.

To lead and participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities in the wider anaesthetic directorate and the TRA services in particular.

To actively participate in teaching, training and supervision of anaesthetic postgraduate doctors in training (PGDiTs) and medical students from Keele Medical School.

**University Hospitals of North Midlands has two sites**: Royal Stoke University Hospital, located in Stoke-on-Trent, and County Hospital, located in Stafford. From these hospitals we provide a full range of general acute hospital services for people living in and around Staffordshire and beyond.
