**Job Description - Trainer**

**Reporting to**: Head of Clinical Governance
- Full Time, Permanent_

Location - Based within our Beardmore Street Office in Clydebank, however some travel across our West of Scotland offices in Glasgow City and Falkirk may be required.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of caregivers and the individuals they care for? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced trainer to join our team. You will have the opportunity to train and develop caregivers to provide exceptional care to our clients.

Working closely with our Head of Governance and Operations Director, our Regional Trainer will help develop and implement an engaging training plan across all care and office-based colleagues. Relationships between you and our Service Managers will be key in delivering a measurable and successful training plan.

Training in our own systems will be given. You should feel comfortable collating training data to populate reports and presentations and be able to confidently contribute to development of policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for caregivers, covering various aspects of caregiving, including personal care, medication administration, safety protocols, communication skills, and emotional support.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and hands-on practical exercises to ensure caregivers have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide compassionate and competent care.
- Assess the training needs of caregivers and customize training programs to meet their specific requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in caregiving and incorporate them into training materials and programs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to caregivers to enhance their skills and address any performance gaps.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and improve training materials, manuals, and resources.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and performance evaluations.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a caregiver or similar role in the healthcare or home care industry.
- Strong knowledge of caregiving principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver engaging and interactive training sessions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others.
- Proficiency in using training software, multimedia tools, and other technology for delivering effective training.
- Certification in caregiving or related field is a plus.
