The Role: *
Tag Games is looking for a self-motivated leader with a deep passion for games who will lead the art team at Tag.
You will partner with the Art Director, Technical Art Director and Executive Producer to execute the creative vision while providing direct leadership and guidance to the art team. The team look to you as an inspirational leader who provides motivation, mentoring and coaching as well as advocating team creativity and best practices throughout all art disciplines.
You will drive consistent working practices, set high standards, mentor and support the art team and push for creative collaboration across the entire project team.

You will be responsible for executing the art style, maintaining the visual quality standards within the new project, and actively involved in the day to day art production pipeline. It is the Head of Art’s responsibility to work in conjunction with project leadership, and the wider team to set the quality standards for the game using in-depth knowledge of techniques and technical limitations.

Here's what you will be doing: *
- Providing excellent leadership of the Art team at Tag. As the overall people manager for the team you’ll be focused on the growth and development of team members which will include the oversight of hiring, providing coaching and mentoring and other day to day support as required in order to make sure the art team has the culture, capability and capacity required to support the project.
- Developing healthy and constructive relationships with members of the project leadership team, including (but not limited to) the Art Director, Technical Art Director, Executive Producer to achieve alignment in respect of the creative vision and direction for the game and ensure the art team understands the part they play in delivering this.
- Working with the relevant people at Tag and the partners we’re collaborating with to ensure that processes, practices and pipelines are set up effectively and efficiently in order to fulfil the creative and technical needs of the project - ensuring there is excellent communication and that feedback loops are established and maintained as required.
- Collaborating closely with Production and other relevant stakeholders to build and maintain a realistic schedule for development, and assisting with planning for outsourced work as required.
- Ensuring that the art team is set up for success - individually and as part of the wider team - by working with studio leadership to maintain and improve our internal processes and practices specifically in relation to the growth & development of our people
**To do this job, you will need**:

- Demonstrable experience of game art production - at least 10 years with experience of full development life cycles on cross platform titles
- To have shipped multiple titles as a leader or manager of artists - teams of 10+ ideally
- To have a genuine passion for being a leader of creative teams
- A demonstrable ability to partner with creative leadership and other team leads to identify and solve all issues related to artistic needs including defining stylistic vision, establishing, and maintaining aesthetic standards, technical direction, game design and narrative
- To be a great team player, able to communicate, collaborate, teach, and learn from co-workers all over the world
- Significant experience with character and environment production on a larger scale, including review process, tooling, technology, practices and pipelines
- The ability to drive high level planning for art, ensuring that the delivery schedule is realistic and that the team have bought into the plan
