BSNI have a fantastic opportunity for Belfast Council seeking a Mobile Cleaner

Hours: Monday - Friday, 5pm-8pm (temporary contract)

Rate of pay: £10.98 per hour

Location: Ballysillan

**Main purpose of job**

To be responsible to the Play Workers to undertake, normally as part of a team, the cleaning of designated areas of play centres.

**Summary of responsibilities and personal duties**

1. To carry out cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting of the designated area (which may include toilets and shower areas) and fixtures and fittings, using where appropriate powered equipment.

2. To act as a key holder responsible for opening and closing of the centre to enable carrying out cleaning responsibilities and responding to “call-outs” if and when available.

3. To contribute to a teamwork approach within the centre, to ensure delivery of the community support plan and corporate priorities.

4. To act in accordance with the council and departmental policies and procedures including customer care, equal opportunities, health and safety and child protection and any pertinent legislation.

5. To participate in all induction and in-service training provided by Belfast City Council and in the induction and support of all newly appointed staff and other human resource management policies and procedures, as appropriate, including, absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedure.

6. To act in accordance with the council and departmental policies and procedures including customer care, equal opportunities, health and safety, safeguarding and any pertinent legislation.

**Experience**

(a) carrying out cleaning duties which must include experience of using cleaning equipment; **and**

(b) making sure that all cleaning equipment and chemicals are safely used and stored in accordance with health and safety regulations

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £10.98 per hour
