**Platform Resourcing** are partnered with a company in **Llansamlet,Swansea**to appoint an **IT Technical Support Engineer**to join their team. This is a newly created role within their UK head office, where you will play a pivotal role to deliver great service to the clients, ensuring the licensed software they have subscribed to is running smoothly, and being on handto escalate or deal with issues as and when they arise.

With year-on-year growth, and a reputation built strongly on the training and qualifications the company offers, this is an exciting role for someone to serve as an integral part of the customer experience as the first point of contact surrounding technicalissues, requests, handle break/fix configuration issues, troubleshooting customer environments and address problems that require additional technical support tools for resolution

**Duties of the IT Technical Support Engineer position**
- Answer client issue and question submissions via ticketing system to meet service level agreements
- Investigate and follow up on customer problems in a timely manner
- Follow-up with clients to ensure issues are resolved per SLA requirements
- Work closely with Client Technology Team, Vendors and Channel Partners
- Troubleshoot SaaS support issues
- Answer questions related to browsers, logs, security settings, and other system configurations
- Other duties as assigned

**Skills required to be successful as an IT Technical Support Engineer**
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems or systems engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred but not essential
- Minimum of four years working in a customer service, client support, help desk environment Knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, CSS, HTML
- Need a foundation in database structure, configuration, operation and maintenance Experience of using ServiceNow is beneficial but not essential
