You will teach within the BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care programme and also
contribute to wider teaching across the Childhood, Health and Society curriculum
area at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

You will also be engaged in supporting and developing the already strong teaching
and research culture across the wider School of Social Sciences and within the
Faculty of Education and Society and will contribute to external engagement.

- Contribute to the promotion of teaching and outreach activities across the

School
- Contribute to the team and school research profile and to the

development of the established research culture within the field
- Undertake pastoral and academic support of students
- Develop, design and deliver modules at undergraduate and postgraduate

level
- Undertake research supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate level
- Contribute to the growing portfolio of external engagement
- Lead modules and programmes within the Health and Social care

programme and Social Studies area and School of Social Sciences
- Undertake other tasks as required by the Head of School

- Agree and manage own teaching, research, reach-out and academic

management/administration responsibilities, with guidance from a mentor if

tutorials to large lectures.
- Transfer knowledge in the form of practical skills, methods and techniques.
- Identify learning needs of students and define appropriate learning

objectives.
- Ensure that content, methods of delivery and learning materials will meet the

- Develop own teaching materials, methods and approaches with guidance.
