**Logistics Coordinator**

An opportunity has arisen at Lancashire Renewables Ltd, for an individual to join us and support the Logistics and Offtake Team at our Leyland facility.

Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract.

Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill.

Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable community waste and our people are vital in helping us achieve this.

- **Job Summary**:_

The Logistics Coordinator will support in the safe and efficient operation of the logistics and offtake business function, and in accordance with the service level agreement. To include all aspects of fleet haulage planning, scheduling, coordinating and administrative duties within their area of responsibility, and to provide support in ensuring that all waste haulage activities comply with the relevant legal obligations, law and associated regulations.

The post holder will be required to be a business partner to the Offtake & Logistics Team Leader to assist with delivery of operational targets, deliver continuous improvements and ensure robust budgetary control over the logistics and offtake business functions.

Whilst training and development is provided and encouraged, please see below for the minimum requirements of the role:

- GSCE English and Maths Grade C or above.
- Ability to work as part of a team with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively plan, schedule and coordinate tasks, ideally with experience within Fleet Haulage sector.
- Knowledge of Fleet route planning.
- Excellent IT skills including MS Excel and MS Word.
- Demonstrate knowledge of vehicle tracking systems, Tachograph systems, Fleet Maintenance systems, Logistics transactions and other related business systems
