H Parkinson Haulage is currently seeking a highly skilled Transport Planner to join our dynamic work-from-home team. As a Transport Planner, you will play a key role in our company's logistics operations, responsible for planning and coordinating the transportation of goods using our vehicles. Your primary objective will be to optimise routes, manage schedules, and ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries, while also overseeing the maintenance of our transport and fleet management systems. This is a challenging and rewarding position that offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and innovative logistics company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Allocation of units/trailers and drivers to duties

Analysis of data to ensure maximum fill
- Liaison with warehouse and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth running of the operation and adherence to Service/MOT schedules
- Maintenance of driver hours management, driver duties, and to manage reductions/increase of runs from basic schedule
- Reaction to and handling of ad-hoc situations
- Maintenance of internal systems, databases and spreadsheets
- Compliance with depot policies and procedures
- Experience in the daily use of a recognised Transport Management System (such as Mandata), Microsoft office including Outlook, Excel, and a Vehicle Telematics systems preferred.
- Experience of working in a customer service environment, ideally in transport and logistics
- The ability to effectively handle a busy and varied workload, meet tight deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Good computer literacy with accurate data entry skills
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Prioritise and plan workloads in line with company KPI's
- Operate vehicles ensuring optimisation of revenue
- Ability to adapt in a changing environment
- Has a good geographical knowledge of the UK
