We’re looking for an individual to be involved in a full range of Flood and Coastal Risk Management work in the Flood Resilience Team in Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire Area.
- As a Flood Resilience Team Member you’ll work as part of a team to shape and deliver the work that we do with a wide range of customers in terms of warning and informing communities at flood risk.
- You will provide support for a range of functions undertaken by the team, including the delivery of our Warning and Informing role and the validation of our warnings post incident.
- You will be responsible for managing a variety of Flood Resilience data and information and for some liaison with partners and customers, such as Local Authorities, Emergency Planning Officers, Local Resilience Forum Partners and members of the public.
- You will also help plan and deliver engagement across the Area.

The team
- We focus on working with others (internally and externally) to reduce the risk of flooding and coastal erosion to people and property, by working closely with our partners and the communities in Lincs and Northants. The team focus on a wide range of work, from community engagement, training and exercising duty officers, informing communities of the risks they face, and technical work associated with managing our Flood Warning system.

Experience/skills required
- You will be organised and have careful attention to detail to ensure our work is delivered to a high standard. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will be complimented by your enthusiasm to achieve results and work with others. You will have competent IT and data skills, and preferably some experience of using Arc GIS.
- Ideally you will also have:

- A degree in a relevant discipline, or relevant experience.
- Experience of working with internal and external partners to deliver specific outcomes, to time, cost and quality.
- It’s desirable that you are a member of, or are working towards membership of, a professional body.
