Facilities Manager

You will be providing leadership and management for a team of Facilities staff who are responsible for delivering a wide range of services, such as maintenance, catering, reception, contractor management as well as looking after the transport fleet. Youwill also work closely with health and safety and QA experts to make sure the business meets and exceeds industry standards.
**Roles and responsibilities include the following**:
- Implementing effective value for money, cost and efficiency improvements
- Work with the site planning team to agree investment priorities
- Ensure staffing levels are appropriate on site
- Identify, analyse and research on commercial opportunities to promote income to develop the services while maintaining standards compliant with local and national guidance
- Ensure services provided by external contractors are managed and monitored effectively and delivered against robust key performance indicators
- Manage outsourced contracts through regular formal reviews - Liaise, intervene and negotiate as and when necessary to deal with concerns or problems
- Prepare contract specifications and SLAs as required and lead on tendering processes
- Support the Senior Facilities Manager for the operational management of staff accommodation
- Ensure formal records are available to support robust governance processes
- Conduct reviews, appraisals and staff development for directly employed staff in line with policies and procedures
- Manage employee relations issues, ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to and issues are dealt with in a timely and consistent manner, including managing sickness absence and recruitment and retention
- Be logical, methodical and organised
- Ideally have Facilities management experience or a relevant qualification
- Have people management skills
- Have contract management experience
**The role**:
- 37 hours per week - Monday - Friday
- Salary up to £35,000 per annum
- 27 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Service-related occupational sick pay provision up to a maximum of 3 months full pay and 3 months half pay
