**About the role as Engineering Team Leader**:
You will be part of a well-regarded engineering team, led by our highly experienced Engineering Manager.
- Delivering a high-quality engineering service in support of the achievement of operational targets.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of your maintenance engineer teams in order to provide engineering support to manufacturing operations.
- Achieve team Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) in respect to equipment performance, reliability and breakdown & maintenance completion.
- Coach and develop the engineering team in regard to safe working practises and the rapid diagnosis and resolution of faults.
- Plan and coordinate team resources to complete all work allocated to the team in a timely manner.
- Identify development areas relating to skills, behaviours and competencies and implement team development plans.
- Participation in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities including leading short-interval control and root cause analysis assessments.
- Working as a key member of the Site Engineering Team, demonstrating Company Values and flexibility to support other teams/departments where required.
- Auditing all monitoring systems required by the Company to ensure compliance with Company Policies/Procedures/Standards and identifying and implementing corrective actions.
- Managing non-conformance processes and corrective action activities to ensure compliance with Company Policies/Procedures/Standards.
- To ensure all work is performed in an environmentally sound manner that helps reduce waste, energy usage, emissions etc., and meets with the Company’s sustainability commitments
- Leading the creation and training of area specific SOPs.

**About you**:
Most importantly, you must be able to communicate effectively with a team and lead by example. We would like you to have previous experience in managing a engineering team, upskilling and developing other engineers - be a mentor, someone who engineers can bounce off when needing support.

You will need to be an experienced Maintenance Engineer / Team Leader, most ideally from an FMCG background with both mechanical and electrical competencies. (We would consider either bias but would require a basic understanding of both electrical and mechanical).

HNC in electrical or mechanical engineering is highly desirable, however, we would look at similar, alternative qualifications.
