The Burford Recruitment Company are working with a market leading eCommerce company who are looking to recruit a Server Manager. They have experienced year on year growth and are a market leader in their industry. Due to expansion an opportunity has arisenfor someone with a strong web server background who is looking for an autonomous role whilst being supported by a driven and talented leadership team. **As Server Manager, you will**:

- Maintain the internal network, servers, and security configuration
- Install and rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
- Maintain anti virus compliance
- Perform daily back up operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media
- Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary
- Create, change and delete user accounts per request
- Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support in line with department SLA’s
- Make recommendations for future upgrades to hardware and processes
- Identify and highlight improvements to systems and processes on a continual basis
- Have a working understanding of security best practices and implementing policies and processes
- Be responsible for evaluation and deployment of major Microsoft 365 and Windows releases
- Communicate and present concepts and ideas to other stakeholders
- Meet the daily SLA targets to solve the Zendesk tickets

You will need experience with the following technologies:

- Microsoft 365, Hybrid Exchange, Windows and macOS
- Linux server management (Debian 11)
- NGINX web server
- Redis caching management
- MySQL database backups
- Elasticsearch
- Zendesk
- Server security and corporate security

This role is hybrid based with 2 days a week based in their office Nr Burford. On offer is a salary in the region of £45,000 - £55,000 + bonus as well as a range of benefits including:
