Main Responsibilities
- To support the development and implementation of the London Surface Water Strategy, leading on our stakeholder engagement work.
- To develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners, primarily borough officers, councillors, and community groups, to ensure:

- The Strategy meets their needs and expectations in advance of publication, therefore securing buy-in;
- The Strategy provides the impetus and resource to enable swift implementation and action following the publication.
- To support key partners to understand and action key Strategy recommendations, working collaboratively to share knowledge across multiple networks.
- Collaborate with the Communications Working Group to create and plan public relations strategies and communications campaigns to enhance the London Surface Water Strategy brand.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- To contribute to the development and implementation of the London Surface Water Strategy, leading our work on borough and community engagement, and supporting on communications. This will include chairing the Engagement Working Group and developing and delivering robust engagement plans with key stakeholders.
- To represent the LSWSG and London Councils at meetings with key stakeholders and partners, developing and sustaining positive relationships with all stakeholders.
- To provide information and advice on Strategy matters to borough officers/councillors as well as key partners in the community sector, ensuring effective and timely information flow between the core Strategic Group and their stakeholders. Providing a feedback loop will be critical to this work.
- To work closely with the London Surface Water Officers Group, using feedback collated to direct work, and translating into actions for relevant borough and community stakeholders, ensuring those actions are resourced and owned by boroughs.
- To work closely with contractors for the Strategy to develop and deliver a core engagement plan and materials required.
- To identify opportunities to advance the work of the Strategy through network building and influence with local and regional partners.
- To draft clear, well-targeted and influential reports, briefings, circulars, speeches, articles, presentations, press information and other publications as required on the work of the London Surface Water Strategy.
- To organise seminars, conferences and other events, in collaboration with colleagues at London Councils, as directed.
- Working closely with colleagues in the Communications Division, to develop effective approaches to communicate London Surface Water Strategy priorities to boroughs, communities, media and other stakeholders.

- Experience of engaging and building relationships with multiple stakeholders in a complex policy environment;
