Design Coordinator

**Responsibilities**:
The role and responsibilities of the design manager include but are not limited to the following:
1. Being the principal point of contact between our designer ALIGND and the ALIGN teams for

the assets under responsibility.

2. Working closely and proactively with ALIGN, ALIGN-D and Subcontractor teams during design development to ensure early input into the design process, ensuring that documentation is produced:

- On time
- In line with buildability, cost and programme requirements of ALIGN
- Integrating all input coming from the various ALIGN teams, including subcontractors
- Meets or Exceeds the Client’s expectations to support delivery of a functional High Speed Railway

3. Managing the release for construction of design documentation and ensuring configuration of

Sub Contractor Design information

4. Coordinating the resolution of site issues in a proactive and timely manner ensuring best for

project solution

5. Supporting the wider technical team in delivery of the project at all lifecycles from feasibility

and scheme design, through detailed design and construction and ensuring successful hand

back.

Skills & Experience
- 3+ years experience in the Civil engineering industry, either in a design or design management role
- Engineering Degree or equivalent and working towards professional qualification with an appropriate institution, e.g. ICE or IstructE.
- Previous experience working on large projects or heavy civil elements, such as bridges, tunnels, or ground works
- Fantastic Project Management skills, witht the ability to manage multiple on going projects at any given time.
- Assertive, self-starter with the ability to work efficiently and respond quickly to issues raised or work required.
- Strong relationship building capability, with the ability to manage expectations and meet stakeholder needs.
- Resilient, with the ability to challenge stakeholders whilst still taking in to consideration their view point.
