You will work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the regulation and co-ordination of all activities on the highway, in order to minimise disruption on the highway network and its users.

To take action to remedy breaches effectively.

**About the role**

Individual to lease with Local Authorities and Build partners to ensure Compliance is at its highest standard within the business

Ensure work sites and reinstatements meet all necessary safety and legal requirements, identify defects and report them to the Street works manager plus relevant build engineers.

Be able to use relevant IT systems to run reports from what may be identified

Take charge of a coring programme which is already implemented and its’s costings

You will work with principal contractors, deal with residents’ complaints and local businesses

**Key attributes we will be looking for will be: -**
- Demonstrable team working abilities and working alone
- Showing you can be proactive in identifying, assessing and analysing problems
- Ability to gain the technical knowledge necessary for the role
- People skills to develop relationships with principal contractors and Local Authorities
- Take the lead on a coring programme within your area

**Qualifications / Experience**:
**Essential: -**

A detailed knowledge of prevailing streets works legislation (e.g Traffic Management Act 2004, Highways Act 1980 and the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, HSG 47).

Working knowledge of Traffic Regulation Orders

Significant knowledge and experience of the Street Manager system

NRSWA Supervisor Qualification

Full Clean Driving Licence

Significant experience of working with utility companies or in a Streetworks environment.

Significant experience working within a customer driven service environment, dealing with partner organisations and members of the public including dealing with contentious issues.

Proficient in IT, including using Microsoft Office suite of software's and Geographical Information Systems
