Temporary position on an 18-month contract initially, working 36 hours per week over Monday to Friday based at Fife House in Glenrothes. The hours of work are 8:48am to 5:00pm.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly skilled individual to work within the busy Electoral Services team which is responsible for delivering electoral registration and statutory elections in Fife.

The post-holder will play a key role in the delivery of elections in Fife including recruiting and training election staff, supporting the booking and set up of polling stations, maintaining the Election Management System and the data contained within it, the opening of postal votes; the delivery of the election count and producing accurate election documentation.

As an Electoral Services Officer, you will work under the direction and supervision of the Electoral Services Manager.

While no previous experience is necessary, a background in electoral services or elections would be advantageous.

**The Person**
- Educated to SQF Level 7, which includes HNC or Advanced Highers or equivalent
- You are required to have strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with a willingness to go that extra mile to meet tight deadlines which are key to this role.
- You should have a proven track-record of working with customers, data processing/data entry and excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365.
- There will be a requirement to work additional hours at peak election periods (including evenings and weekends). Due to the nature of the role, there may also be restrictions on when annual leave can be taken during the statutory election period. Due to the nature of the role, there will be a requirement to travel to various locations in Fife.
