We are looking for energetic new team members to join us at The Steel Yard to work across the venue.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Bar**
- To produce and deliver drinks that meet with the company requirements and ensure that the service provided meets with the service standards expectations..
- Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other equipment.
- Organising the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory throughout the events.
- Processing payments and collecting money for drinks served, providing change as needed.
- Ensuring that a friendly, efficient, courteous, and consistently high service is always provided whilst interacting with customers.
- Always safeguarding the company’s stocks and monies.
- Understanding and adhering to cleaning disciplines set for all areas.
- Adhering and enforcing all legal and licensing requirements.
- Providing a good service in a fast-paced bar
- Deliver exemplary service in line with our procedures

**Barback**:

- Bar:_
- Be the front-line support for our bar teams and duty managers.
- Ensure there is always enough garnishes, ice, mixers and enough clean glassware.
- Be proactive, a team player, and the best support to the bar team.
- Active listening and good communication skills.
- Assisting with opening and closing duties, such as cleaning the bar, restocking the bar with straws, napkins and fruits, ensuring that Bartenders have clean glassware, etc.
- Restock and replenish the stock on the bar, ensuring the stock in fridges are correctly rotated (first in, first out).
- Ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other equipment.
- Cleaning tables and chairs when needed to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Maintaining a positive attitude and having a good working relationship with your colleagues in all departments, maintaining a high level of communication, teamwork and respect at all times.
- Venue:_
- Set up and tear down the event rooms before and after the event, including stage, sound system, barriers, chairs, tables and any other piece of furniture.
- Maintaining the event rooms in a clean shape and always support the manager on duty.
- Maintaining the venue including vacuum floors, floor cleaning and any other type of cleaning needed.
- Proper care, movement, storage of all equipment such as tables, chairs, dance floor, etc.
- Loading and unloading equipment for the setup/breakdown of the venue
- Liaise with the events manager on duties that will need to be carried out before and after the events (during the event days and non-event days)
- Liaise with the Operations team and duty manager on the event planning and organisation

**Cloakroom**
- Assist to organise, setup and breakdown the cloakroom pre, during and post-events.
- Organising beforehand the wristbands, railings, and shelves for future events.
- Liaise with the line Cloakroom Supervisor regarding future events and cloakroom set ups.
- Maintain the organisation of the cloakroom stationary and reporting any issues/out of stock items.
- Attach a wristband to items.
- Issue customers with a matching wristband.
- Safely store items on hangers or racks and shelves, which must be done in a set order, so items do not get damaged.
- Return items to customers on receipt of the matching wristband.
- Accept payment by card or cash and give customers the right change.
- Remain on duty, safeguarding items until customers return.

**Floor**
- Welcoming customers to the venue.
- Providing customers with information.
- Checking entry or guest list.
- Table and bottles service when necessary.

**Essential**
- Available to work weekends including public holidays and night shifts
- Customer focused individual with excellent communication skills.
- Good level of written and spoken English.
- Previous bar work experience is required.
- Ability to work under pressure alone and as a team player.
- Great attention to detail and a positive attitude.
