**Main Duties**:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children, young people, and families to identify risks and protective factors.
- Develop and deliver interventions targeting criminogenic needs and enhancing protective factors through creative approaches.
- Engage and motivate children and young people to comply with orders while building trust and adhering to standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Integrate Restorative Approaches into interactions with stakeholders.
- Attend police stations and secure facilities as needed.
- Prepare reports for courts and Referral Order Panels, offering intervention proposals.
- Provide pre
- and post-court support, including attending court sessions.
- Develop interventions for parents to support their children's compliance and parenting skills.
- Rotate through office duty and conduct home visits as necessary.
- Monitor and evaluate intervention effectiveness, maintaining accurate records.
- Share information following protocols.
- Stay informed about practice developments and legislation.
- Take responsibility for personal development and contribute to staff training.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives.
- Work flexibly to meet service needs.
- Promote equality and establish trust with managers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies, including data protection and health and safety.
**Requirements of the Youth Offending Service Worker**:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline experience in Children’s Services
