About Us:
We are a 21 bed residential home in Margate. At Treetops Residential Home we are in need of a full time Senior Carer and Night Carer (Thursday night) to join our team, we are looking for someone with a caring nature, that enjoys learning and growing as a part of a team. This is an ideal position for someone looking to progress in their career.

There are **Two Care roles** available at Treetops Residential Home.

1. **Senior Carer**

At Treetops Residential Home, providing high quality care to our residents is one of our most important values. As a Senior Carer you will be a part of our leadership team, and will be responsible for the oversight and supervision of staff as well as ensuring that our residents health and well-being is promoted.

Ideally, we would like someone who already has an **NVQ3 in Care, and at least 2 years’ experience in a caring role**. However, we will consider applicants that wish to take the next step in their journey and work towards their NVQ3.

We will provide on-site training to ensure you have all the skills you need to perform your role. You will be supported to integrate into the home with our two-week induction process.

We also run a reward system for staff who go the extra mile to support our home, to show that we appreciate and value the commitment of our staff at Treetops Residential Home.

Daily Duties:

- Administering, ordering, and auditing medication within the home.
- Liaising with external professionals such as GPs, Nurses, ART Team to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care.
- Supervising the care team, ensuring duties are delegated as needed.
- Being adaptive to change, whilst promoting continuity of care for our residents.
- Supporting residents with personal care, toileting, and medical needs.
- Being a part of the homes leadership team, helping to feedback ideas that may help us to improve the service provided.
- Being responsive to changes in residents physical and mental health and ensuring that appropriate medical treatment is sought.
- Maintaining good morale within the home and leading by example.
- Understanding when to escalate and report any concerns to the Management Team.

This is a full-time position for 48 hour per week. Plus, the potential for overtime if required.

The hours will be 8am - 8pm.

Hourly rate: £9.79ph upwards

2. **Night / Day Carer**

At Treetops Residential Home, providing high quality care to our residents is one of our most important values. As a Carer, you will be ensuring that residents are fully supported with their personal, emotional and social needs as well as being an active participant in our care team.

Ideally we would like someone who already has an NVQ2 or Care Certificate, however we will consider applicants that do not have any qualifications and would like to learn and grow to develop their experience and skills.

We will provide on-site training to ensure you have all the skills you need to perform your role. You will be supported to integrate into the home with our two-week induction process.

We also run a reward system for staff who go the extra mile to support our home, to show that we appreciate and value the commitment of our staff at Treetops Residential Home.

Daily Duties:

- Providing residents with personal care, helping them with toileting needs and any other needs that they may have.
- Providing person centred care to individuals, paying attention to their likes/dislikes.
- Ensuring that infection control is complied with, and ensuring communal and bedroom environments are tidy after use.
- Being responsive to changes in residents physical and mental health, and reporting this to the Senior Carer or Management Team as required.
- Being adaptive to change, whilst promoting continuity of care to our residents.
- Working as a part of a team and promoting team working in the environment.
- Supporting residents to maintain their independence.
- Supporting external professionals on visits, and ensuring all our visitors are welcomed.

This will be a permanent position.

The hours will be: 12 hours on a Thursday night as a set night. 24 hours on day shift. 36 hours a week total, plus the potential for overtime. We may require you to be flexible with some hours.

Shift pattern: 8am - 8pm and 8pm - 8am.

Hourly rate: £9.50ph upwards
