We are looking to recruit someone who has the drive and determination to succeed, who is eager to learn from others and gain valuable knowledge and experience within the workplace. We ideally require someone who likes to work and be part of a team, wants to grow in confidence and learn more about working within the NHS.

The apprentice role will form part of the overall administration team that support the multi-disciplinary team for the Low Secure Forensic & Learning Disability Service, which specialises in the assessment and treatment of male adults with complex mental health needs, who require care in a low secure setting, in response to offending, risky and/or challenging behaviours. Some of our patients may also have a learning disability.

The apprentice role will form part of the overall administration team that support the multi-disciplinary team for the Low Secure Forensic & Learning Disability Service, which specialises in the assessment and treatment of male adults with complex mental health needs, who require care in a low secure setting, in response to offending, risky and/or challenging behaviours. Some of our patients may also have a learning disability.

To provide an efficient and effective clerical and administrative support service to a designated team in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.

To communicate with staff, managers and clients, both written and verbally in a professional, sensitive and courteous manner, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

To attend regular meetings with the supervisor and assessor and attend training sessions leading to an Apprenticeship in Customer Service

The role will be varied according to ability and will be mainly based in a reception area and the wider administration team office.

Whilst doing the apprenticeship you will receive regular support and guidance from both your external learning provider together with a supervisor and separate mentor from within the service. The hours of work will be 09:00 am to 5:00 pm.
