**Job Overview**

The Continuous Improvement & Business Development Team is a critical part of the Business Services function (BSF) responsible for developing the strategy, driving and delivering the ongoing growth, change & improvements plan.

Engaging and collaborating with stakeholders is critical and the Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist will help guide BSF in improving current and future processes and services. With the primary goal to assess business pain points and make evidence-based recommendations which facilitate greater efficiency in time, cost reduction, increased productivity & performance.

This role will also provide CI expertise to optimise and improve business process working across BSF through the full lifecycle from design to delivery of solutions in-house ensuring delivery of prioritised solutions aligned with TfL Strategy.

The CI Specialist role has responsibility within our digital workspace to challenge the status quo and develop in-house solutions against complex business process to save time and cost for the business directly, using SAP, PowerApps, SharePoint, Microsoft tools and Dynamics Flow, to create data integration with a key focus on automation of processes. We are primarily looking for skills in this space.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Perform CI analysis on recommended initiatives/ideas on behalf of all teams in BSF and share insights with the CI Manager, other CI team members and key stakeholders inc. running analytics. identifying gaps, root causes, and defining solutions and opportunities.
- Identifying growth opportunities based on the above and support Business Development lead/manager
- Perform CI analysis on initiatives/projects underway including running analytics
- Identifying opportunities to optimise help desk operations
- Provide project updates & CI related content for the Portfolio & CI Steering groups, Process Councils and any other forums, as and when required
- Responsible for promoting adherence to the global CI process designs, planning and running CI events across BSF to share knowledge/tools etc. to build and be an advocate for a culture of CI across BSF to educate BSF and wider business via CI methodology and tools
- Undertake process or change impact analysis as and when required across BSF
- Challenge the status quo to identify & deliver innovative solutions to ensure the efficient running of the business using a range of skills, tools &experience providing connected strategy across BSF via a Centre of excellence for local automation
- Lead workshops and assessment of as-is process and design To-be process in collaboration with key stakeholders and gain approval for new processes through applicable governance forums.
- Support new process transition and adoption working with Delivery leads
- Manage and maintain suite of tools (BSF Central tracker) and templates (CI Hub) used to govern and coordinate portfolio of change initiatives across all 12+ teams in BSF working closely with the Portfolio Manager and specialist

**Key Interfaces**
- Accountable to the Continuous Improvement Manager
- Process Owners: Working with various Process Owners (e.g. Order to Cash) who may reach out to get some advice/light analysis for CI ideas they would like to further assess/ take to the ‘Process Council’
- Internal customers: The individuals/teams who are impacted by the various CI initiatives
- Third-parties: Engage with third-parties as and when necessary to support Continuous process improvement

**Knowledge**
- Understanding of suitable CI methodologies (TfL Lean experience of suitable external qualifications - Lean/ Six sigma)
- Awareness and good knowledge of the internal relationships and interfaces necessary for BSF to operate
- Knowledge in converting the results of analysis into change initiatives
- **Strong knowledge of SAP R3, SAP® S/4HANA®, SAP CRM, and SAP Service Cloud.**

**Skills**
- **Ability to plan and organise events and road-shows to showcase the values of Continuous Improvement an advantage**
- Strong stakeholder management as this role will require working with numerous stakeholders at all levels from Band 1 to Director
- Ability to utilise available digital tools and systems to develop technical solutions to support process improvement is essential
- Skill in any of the following automation tools extremely desirable
- MS PowerApps
- MS PowerBI
- MS PowerAutomate
- MS SharePoint
- **SAP Mass change tools**
- Winshuttle for SAP automations

**Experience**
- Using CI methodologies on CI initiatives
- Experience in Change management
