**Group Financial Controller - Colchester**

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to work within an established and growing business at a group level. Based in Colchester the role offers great flexibility with hybrid working and a caring and friendly culture.

This role is well suited to a Financial Controller with a recognised qualification (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) who is driven and has gained experience in a similar role.

**The Role**
- Consolidating and analysing financial data for the group
- Providing creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
- Preparing monthly consolidated management information for reporting to the board
- Developing budgets and financial models based on past, future and comparative performance
- Assemble and summarise data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
- Work closely with the Head of Finance, Finance Business Partners and Management Accountants, to ensure reporting deadlines are achieved
- Consult with management to guide and influence strategic decision making within the group
- Forecast and monitor cash flow for the group
- Assist with the group audit completion, including review of statutory accounts and oversight of Corporation Tax computations
- External financial reporting as and when required
- Intra-group accounting requirements
- Maintaining deadlines
- Applications welcome from experienced accountants with a recognised accountancy qualification(ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Previous experience in a similar role including proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis
- Hands on experience with statistical analysis
- Attention to detail
- Legislative compliance
- Numeracy skills - reconciliations and statistics.
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
