**The Role**
We're currently recruiting for an Accommodation Officer to join our Independent Living function as we set up a new operational team. This is a great opportunity for people-focused individuals who are looking to develop their skills within Housing.

Please note, this role is based at Rolfe House, one of our Independent Living Schemes in Smethwick.

This is a weekend working only role for 16 hours per week. The hours are between 9:00am and 5:00pm, however we are able to offer flexibility on start/finish time. Further details are to be discussed at interview stafe.

As an Accommodation Officer you will be on the front-line in our services. You will be directly dealing with our tenants, helping and guiding them towards successfully sustaining their own tenancy.

**Your day-to-day responsibilities will include**:

- Provide a well-rounded Housing Management service, overseeing allocations and lettings as well as tenancy management.
- Carry out Building Safety Checks and an ensure the buildings' security.
- Liaise with the assets team in relation to any repairs which need carrying out.
- Monitor on-site contractors completing works.
- Provide support to tenants with benefit claims, budgeting, move-on plans etc.
- Help promote an independent lifestyle to our tenants.
