Contract Scotland is looking for a dynamic Health and Safety Manager with a passion for compliance and hands-on problem solving

As the leading specialist in design, fit-out, and installation, this company has a strong pipeline of work for the next 5-10 years within the food and drink sector. The company has been in business for over 25 years and has built an excellent reputationwithin their sector. This role therefore offers job security and with a long-standing business.

We're seeking a highly motivated H&S Manager to work both on-site and in the office. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance, carrying out audits, and implementing new processes to keep the team safe and the company’s operations running smoothly. Itis very important to our client, that health and safety is met to the highest standards.

This isn’t your typical H&S Manager role, this is more of a hybrid role, with 50% on-site working closely with the site team. This is a great way to build relationships with both clients and employees. The other 50% of your time, will be spent implementingcompliance.

With operations across the UK, Ireland, and Denmark, you'll also have the opportunity to work away, this company takes pride in taking care of their employees and will ensure you're well looked after.

To excel in this role, you'll be driven, hard-working, and passionate about safety. This role will require someone who can take ownership of the role, and lead from the front with a hands-on approach to finding new compliance and safety solutions. They wouldlove if you had experience with

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures
- Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace
- Producing RAMs
- Developing and delivering health and safety training programs for employees
- Investigating accidents and incidents and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and standards
- Carrying out regular safety audits and inspections
- Maintaining and analysing health and safety records and data
- Developing emergency response plans and procedures
- Liaising with regulatory authorities and industry bodies on health and safety matters
- Advising senior management on health and safety matters and providing regular reports and updates.
