Oil Spill Response Ltd has a fantastic opportunity for a Trainer/ Consultant to join our Training and Consultancy team based in Southampton.

The T&C department consists of a busy team offering Consultancy and Training services for our clients all over the world. The role will effectively undertake and deliver consultancy projects and/or develop, prepare and deliver training course programmes to meet a variety of client needs working at the home base and internationally as required by the project.

To be successful in this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent planning and organisational skills, the ability to work using own initiative. You will have good proficiency in written and spoken English, excellent numerical skills and the confidence to converse with managers at all levels.

**Main Accountabilities**
- Ensure consistency and quality of all Training or Consultancy deliverables and personnel in local region, and work with other regions to align and ensure standard templates and outputs.
- Constantly benchmark OSRL’s Training/Consultancy services against other providers and industry expectations and to support the implementation of new requirements to ensure OSRL remain at the leading edge.
- Project manage Training or Consultancy projects to deliver on time and to budget. Often supporting large scale projects or leading smaller projects (regionally or globally) to complete.
- Deliver training or consultancy deliverables for OSRL as required.
- Deliver training or consultancy work within region and travel as required internationally.
- Be experienced in supporting client exercises for oil spill response activities and in the delivery of exercise material as required.
- Support the development and maintenance of high quality ‘standard’ deliverables for the global training and consultancy business.
- Constantly search for opportunities to improve the efficiency of Training or Consultancy processes and so reduce costs without compromising safety or quality.

**Requirements**:

- Proven record either in field spill response or related training and consultancy roles.
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental/Marine Sciences, or similar
- Proven experience in delivery of mid-large scale training projects as both an individual and as part of or leading a team.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Good report writing and presentation skills
- Flexibility to participate in response activities as required, including travel to national and international locations
- Preferred: Fluent in French, both verbal and written

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
