**We are looking for a motivated, confident and creative Wellbeing/Activity Assistant to join our amazing, inspiring and fabulous Wellbeing Team.**

**As part of the Cote Charity, your role would be to**:

- Work with elderly people and those with dementia to challenge the traditional stereotype of a care home and create special, amazing memories and moments they and their loved ones can cherish
- Provide fresh and exciting ideas for internal and external events for both homes to improve the wellbeing and quality of life to our residents
- Be engaging and confident with facilitating your own daily group activities
- Be able to spend meaningful 121 moments with residents and inspire them by creating new ideas to stimulate interest and improve social engagement; both as a 121 and in a group setting
- Support residents to build connections with volunteers and external organisations, utilising the community, working with various external projects to promote our charity and bring the community into the home
- Bring smiles and sunshine to everyone by having fun, willing to dress up in fabulous and funny costumes to promote events in the home and encouraging staff and residents to participate; some of which will be seasonal to bring laughter and joviality
- Communicate with volunteers and other professionals to build positive working relationships; including family members to promote a full inclusive culture as much as possible to ensure we have a varied and exciting activities programme

We are looking for an upbeat and motivated person who thinks outside the box, with an engaging smile; who is inspired in making a difference and positive impact to our residents' quality of life. Ideally you need to be a fun, creative and very much a ‘people person’, be adaptable and willing to try new things. You should be open to learning from the residents requirements, their hobbies, likes and dislikes and learn from the other wellbeing assistant and coordinator. Be flexible during activities with an approachable, adaptable and ‘have a go’ attitude.

You would be working alongside the Wellbeing Coordinator and another Wellbeing Assistant to create high quality and stimulating, engaged weekly programme of activities and events including external trips to lots of lovely interesting places and supporting special 121 time with individual residents. We are a positive, friendly and fully inclusive team, looking for that special someone to join in with all our daily fun

You need to be IT literate and able to use new technology for use in activity sessions, we can teach you this if you have basic skills.

30 hours a week including 1 Saturday in 3 and possibly alternate Tues or a Thurs evening as we have social club twice weekly. This can be discussed in interview, we can be flexible
