Reed are currently supporting a Reading based public sector organisation to recruit an interim procure to pay and MI specialist.

Our client is implementing a new ERP system and as they move into the end phase of design, the procurement team are looking for a person to represent them in the Procure to Pay workstream, most critically for supplier profile management, to ensure positivetransformation is included in this system delivery and future supplier procurement practice has a good basis from which to commence.

**Deliverables and Tasks**
- Attendance on procure to pay workstream board
- Advise on design for procure to pay and user acceptance test criteria whilst engaging with permanent team members to ensure process requirements are met
- Undertake system testing and user acceptance testing
- Supplier database cleanse for transition (including stakeholder engagement and ProClass categorisation) in line with new design
- Undertake data analytics of supplier database to identify areas for improvement/ targeted focus for future e.g. supplier categorisation to help challenge and reduce the number of new vendor requests
- Identify and recommend process redesign required to modernise our procure-to-pay process
- Lead and support on delivery of communication strategy and training of teams of the new system
- Support and engage with Supplier Set Up team for new processes as well as delivery of BAU as required to meet SLA demand
- Strong experience of working in Accounts Payable, Procurement and/or Project Management
- Experience of process redesign and process mapping
- Must understand ERP systems (especially Finance modules) ideally Advanced and/or Oracle
- Desirable familiarity of ‘customer experience’ platforms e.g. Granicus Firmstep, Microsoft, Arcus Global
- Solid understanding of procure to pay process (particularly public sector practise)
- Experience of dealing with Suppliers and internal staff in a clear, calm professional manner (especially preferable would be where this has been done in a fast paced environment with conflicting deadlines).
- Ability to handle difficult conversations to enforce corporate policies in a calm and professional manner, escalating matters if appropriate action is not forthcoming following requests

This role offer some hybrid working with arounds 1-2 days per week in Reading
