- ARTS373323The School of Cultures, Languages, and Area Studies has an exciting opportunity to join our Operational Team.

You will provide administrative support in Web, Communications and Social Media, in addition to purchasing, supporting events, as well as general administrative duties.

Your role is varied, liaising with a wide range of people across the university as well as external visitors. You will support the Senior Administrator and act as a point of contact for web, communications, social media, and events matters. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure the School Office runs smoothly and provide an effective, efficient, working environment for the benefit of staff, students and visitors.

**What you will do**:

- Manage School social media accounts, writing and scheduling posts, create online news stories and event listings.
- Create and update digital content including text editing, images, audio and video files.
- Support School events including designing posters, leaflets and displays, acting as a representative at events as required (this may include some weekend working).
- Provide support to on and off-campus events/visits.
- Work closely with colleagues on all aspects of purchasing activities for the School, working within University policies and procedures, using the relevant University systems.
- General administrative duties including managing shared inboxes to respond to enquiries and requests, minute taking, assisting with staff recruitment, and supporting the School office.

**We are looking for**:

- Significant experience of working in an office/administrative environment.
- High level of IT skills, including MS Office, and proven web-editing skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience of working unsupervised, prioritising, and taking responsibility for tasks.
- Demonstrable knowledge and use of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
- Ability to prioritise own workload and adapt to altering external priorities and pressures.

This is a permanent role. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
