Working in Headstart Residential Care Children’s Homes means being an integral part of a young person’s day to day life. As the Head of Care you will ensure that each home environment supports this by ensuring both your staff and the young people feel secure, safe and inspired.

Our homes accommodate young autistic people, who can have a range of additional needs and previous experiences. Our vision is to create the best possible outcome for the young people in our care. This is all made possible because our service is holistic, therapeutic and caters for our young people’s developmental needs. Our home and therapeutic team help to holistically support our young people by weaving together all aspects of SEND provision.

**Head of Care role**:
In your role at Headstart Residential Care you will be an inspirational leader of our organisation, playing a crucial role in providing expert guidance and support to ensure each care home runs smoothly. By taking ownership of Ofsted requirements, you'll contribute to creating an environment where homes maintain high standards and are relentless in working towards an inspiring and life changing provision.

You will have extensive knowledge of regulations and legislation and be able to plan, support and monitor overall effectiveness. You will be able to support and guide registered managers to be the best they can be and strive for constant improvement.

You will be actively involved in the intake of new referrals, guiding them through the process and ensuring a smooth transition into our care homes. Your dedication to upholding the highest standards of care will ensure that these young individuals receive the support they need to thrive and reach their full potential.

Being the Head of Care will require previous experience of being a registered manager, and having a track record of strategic development and improvement of teams. You will be confident, enthusiastic, resilient an able to make thoughtful and informed decisions to support and grow leaders within the organisation.

- **Annual Salary**: Base salary of £65,000

Here's what we're looking for from you:

- Experience managing an Ofsted rated Good or Outstanding children’s home.
- Experience of leading multiple Residential Homes
- A committed and enthusiastic leader with a passion to make a difference.
- Level 5 Diploma qualification in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England)
- A full UK driving licence which you’ve held for at least 12 months.
