Front of House Supervisors are required to join and lead our team at The Midland StreetCafé (Conwy).
- The main focus of this role is to be accountable for shiftly operations and for delivering an excellent customer experience.

Principal duties include:

- Work alongside your colleagues during the shift, greeting, seating, waiting on & bar work.
- Develop the overall catering and bar offer to exceed the expectations of members, whilst also presenting an attractive offering to external audiences.
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
- Lead from the front and develop an energetic team. You will be expected to take an active involvement in recruitment, coaching & development, team engagement and associated team initiatives - which will include a hands on involvement in the preparation and cooking of the food offering.
- Ensure that catering and bar facilities are staffed and operate efficiently, maintaining standards that fully comply with Hygiene and other regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that the control of costs and productivity remain within budget. Managing stock and labour margins against your P&L objectives and pre-warning the Finance Chairman of any likely overspend.
- Develop a sales plan in line with annual budget, maximising sales by successfully generating repeat business, product range enhancement, incentives and promotions.
- Order catering and bar supplies ensuring stock is regularly reviewed and wastage is minimised. Ensure any recommendations from external stock taking reports are acted upon swiftly.
- Ensure that the maintenance of the bar, catering equipment and premises is carried out to all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Prompt resolution of any customer issues, maintaining a watch on online customer reaction, take comments on board, and make recommendations for change as appropriate

The Person:

- With a proven track record in the hospitality sector, and completely up to date with F&B trends & best practice, you will have solid exposure to managing the day to day operations of a busy food & beverage operation which includes internal and external events
- A communicator - able to bring a strong, collaborative and approachable presence to customers.
- Creation of staff rotas on a weekly basis.
- Technically competent - able to lead by example when supervising, managing and coaching employees.
- Fully conversant with Food Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety and other related legislation

**Responsibilities and Duties**

Holding members of staff accountable.

Carry out performance reviews.

Team development & training

Developing lean rota's.

Increasing sales through upselling, but not overselling.

Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.

Ensuring high standards and quality through challenging others.

**Qualifications and Skills**

Food Safety and Hygiene, Level 2 is preffered

WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust, Level 2) is desirable

Bar & Cellar management certificate would give an immediate advantage to the applicant.

Previous experience with Tapas is preferred.

**Salary**: £8.49-£13.51 per hour
